Dorothy Baine Thiel, 86, a retired Chicago elementary school teacher who was a 40-year resident of LaGrange Park, died Thursday in Alexian Brothers Hospital, Elk Grove Village. Mrs. Thiel was a member of the first graduating class of Chicago's Immaculata High School, 640 W. Irving Park Rd., in 1923. She was an elementary school teacher in Chicago public schools in the 1920s. She is survived by two sons, Robert and Ernest; five daughters, Catherine Quigg, Dorothy Lafeber, Barbara Keoughan, Patricia Brennan, and Virginia; two sisters; 27 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mass will be said at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Anne's Catholic Church, 120 N. Ela St., Barrington.
