Emmett and 3 of his sons, along with his parents, moved about 1894 in 2 covered wagons to Mena, AR. They spent the next few years moving around. Emmett's mother died in 1896, and in 1898 he and his father moved their families back to MS, again in covered wagons. In July of 1899 they moved back to Temple, TX.
In 1907, Emmett and his family moved to Ahpeatone, OK, where they bought farmland. In 1916 they moved to Wilson, OK, and bought land from the Five Civilized Tribes and built their home there.
Emmett and Virginia had 13 children.
