Monetha M. Smith, 93 of Moore, OK passed away on Jan. 8, 2004 at her residence in Moore, OK. The former Monetha M. Easterwood was born on March 4, 1910 to the late Emmett and Mary Virginia 'Hasting' Easterwood at Walters, OK. She grew up south of Wilson, OK and was united in marriage to Elder Marvin Wesley Smith on May 15, 1926 at Ardmore, OK and they had celebrated 65 years of marriage when he preceded her Jan. 16, 1991. To this union four daughters were born, of which 2 have preceded - Sharon Kay Smith Sept. 4, 1950 and Evelyn Jean Lambert April 20, 1988. She is survived by 3 daughters - Juanza Perkins of North Miami Beach, FL, Rita Bostick of Duncan, OK and Monetha Jean Smith and her future husband Steve Haeffner. Her grandchildren - Sharon Ramirez, Karen Cooper, Gayla Cohen, Valerie Ritch and Brent Bostick and 9 great grandchildren. Mrs. Smith will lie in state at Vondel L. Smith & Son Mortuary, 6934 South Western, OKC beginning Sunday, Jan. 11, 2004 until 9:00 A.M. Monday. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. on Monday, Jan. 12, 2004 at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church, 1200 S.W. 58th St., Okla. City with Elder Bill McCarthy and Elder Randy McCarthy officiating. Interment will follow at 4:00 P.M., Monday at Hewitt Cemetery, Wilson, OK, under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home, Wilson, OK. Pallbearers are Espiridion Ramirez, Jr., Steve Haeffner, Jim White, Calvin Floyd, Thom Meade and Dale West.
