During the services, Rev. Grant Piehi officiated, Mrs. Dennis Huff was organist and Mrs. Robert Huff sang. Pallbearers were Ralph Anderson, Clarence Schultz, Guy Allen, Leonard Steinberger, Curtis Lawson and Lester Nelson. Interment was in the I00F Cemetery, Donnybrook, with Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Bertha Herman was born in Germany on April 25, 1889. She was the daughter of Frederick Herman.
She married Martin Kling on December 7, 1911. He passed away December 14, 1974.
Kling was a housewife and a mother. After their marriage, they lived in Anamoose. They farmed and he worked on the Soo Line until 1921. Then they moved to Bowbells, where he was the foreman for the Soo Line section crew. The couple lived there until 1927, at which time they moved to Donnybrook. .
After her husband's death, Mrs. Kling lived there until 1976, when she moved into the Baptist Home in Kenmare. She was residing there at the time of her death.
Mrs. Bertha Kling is survived by: sons, Arthur, Thief River Falls, MN., Walter, Minot, Clifford, Kenmare, George, Minot and Frederick, Carrington; daughters, Mrs. LeRoy (Esther) Bowman, Forest River, N.D., Mrs. Arnold (Leona) Funk, Bowbells; 30 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by two Sons. Gustav and Harry.
