She was born March 5, 1896, in Dola, to Ora and May Ludwig Dirmeyer. She married Arthur Kraft who is deceased. She then married Robert Schoonover who is also deceased.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol J. Preter, St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandson, Steve Laws, Columbus; a granddaughter, Janice Cary, Lima; and three step great-grandsons.
She is preceded in death by a daughter, L. Mozelle Laws and a son, Clinton “Bud” Kraft.
Mrs. Schoonover was a retired school teacher for Hardin County Schools. She was a member of the Epworth United Methodist Church, the Gold Star Mothers, and St. Mary’s Senior Citizens.
Funeral services were held Dec. 19, at Siferd Westwood Chapel, Lima, with the Rev. Larry Kaser officiating. Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
