MRS. CYNTHIA BROKAW DIES
...Mrs. Cynthia Ann Brokaw, resident of the La Plata community many years, died at the family home east of here at 2:15 Friday morning. She had been ill since April with a heart ailment and had been confined to her bed most of the time since then.
...Mrs. Brokaw was born near Genesee, Ill., Feb. 3, 1867. The daughter of Ebenezer and Sarah Edwards and she is the last member of the family of five brothers and three sisters. She was married to Henry Brokaw, Nov. 5, 1891. Surviving her are her husband, three sons, Edward of Kansas City, Albert of near La Plata and Harold of Hinton, Va. She was preceded in death by one son, Fred, who died in France, October 8, 1918, during World War I.
...Services were held at the Methodist Church here Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by the Rev. W. H. Hansford, pastor of the Methodist Church and interment was in La Plata Cemetery.
