Anna Pullen Skinner, 94, passed away Dec. 18, 2010, at Windward Gardens in Camden. Born in Bronx, N.Y., on April 13, 1916, she was the daughter of Charles H. and Charlotte D. (Spall) Pullen. She was a graduate of Connecticut State College in New Britain. On Feb. 17, 1950, she married Walter Skinner in Huntington, Conn. She taught elementary school in Shelton for many years. In 1970, the family moved to Islesboro. They lived there for several years before moving to Camden.

Anna was a former member of the Islesboro Order of the Eastern Star and St. Thomas Episcopal Church. At St. Thomas, she enjoyed singing in the choir and working on church fairs, and was a member of the ECW. Active in community affairs, she served as a volunteer at the Camden Community Hospital, and was a former board member of the Rockland Salvation Army.

She is survived by her two children, Robin Hansen and her husband, Robert, of Warren and Gary (Skinner) Coneita and his wife, Cathy, of Tucson, Ariz.; her grandchildren, including Jason, Bryan and Timothy Morse, Roman Coneita, Estes Coneita and Tracy Coneita; and two great-grandchildren, Cali and Evan Morse.

She was predeceased by her husband, Walter Skinner, who died in 1989.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family in Bayview Cemetery, Islesboro. (Republican Journal 12/24/2010)
