BILOXI -- Ione Mallett Everett, 78, of Biloxi, died Sunday, August 2, 1998, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Everett was born in D'Iberville and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 27 years. She was a member and life master of Gulf Coast Bridge Association and an avid golfer. She was a Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Virda Mallett; a sister, Thelma Crosby; and two brothers, Lamar Mallett and Fred Mallett.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Allen L. Everett Sr. of Biloxi; a daughter, Patricia Everett Brewer of Biloxi; a son, Allen L. Everett Jr. of Cummings, Ga.; three sisters, Hilda Deane of Ocean Springs, Virda Davis of Vancleave, and Patricia Neal of Youngstown, Ohio; five brothers, Rufus Mallett of Ocean Springs, Presley ''Doc'' Mallett and Harold Mallett, both of Biloxi, Jerry Mallett of Gautier and David Mallett of Vancleave; five grandchildren, Allen L. Everett III, Asha L. Nelson and Kristi Brewer, all of Atlanta, Ga., Kimberly Brewer of Biloxi and Danielle Brewer of Boca Raton, Fla.; two stepgrandchildren, Richard Faust of Austin, Texas and Elizabeth ''Sissy'' Herndon of Gaffney, S.C.; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Meagan Herndon of Gaffney, S.C.
Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 1998, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. Services will be Friday, August 7, 1998, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial in Biloxi National Cemetery.
