Sir Henry married Elizabeth Grey, daughter of Sir Robert de Grey and Sir de Saint Quintin and heiress to her uncle, Sir John Marmion of Yorkshire. They had eight sons and six daughters:

Sir Hugh was summoned to Parliament 1387 to 1423 as Henrico fitz Hugh, and he was one the lords who gave their consent in Parliament for the secret imprisonment of King Richard II. He held the office of Constable of England at the coronation of King Henry V in 1413, and accompanied the King to France in August 1415, present at the siege of Harfleur and the Battle of Agincourt. He was also present with the King in France 1417 and at the sieges of Rouen, Melun and Meaux.
