Samuel and second wife Rose RITTER had a son Arthur "Art" BRAVER.
ODDLY, THIS STONE HAS A DEATH DATE OF 4 Apr. 1947, NOT 4 Apr. 1944 (AS IN DEATH AND FAMILY RECORDS). I TEND TO THINK IT IS A MISPRINT ON THE STONE (ESPECIALLY SINCE THE CEMETERY'S OWN RECORD RECORDS ALSO SAY 1944).
To make it even more confusing, there is another Sam Braver at this same cemetery buried 1945, ALSO with a father named Abraham! (This other Sam was about 15 years younger and had a wife Ida not Rose buried with him).
Also his burial record lists his birth date as 1874, but in all of the census and other records for him his birthdate is earlier, though a moving target. He appears to have made himself younger as time passed. The oldest and best records list his birth as 1866. But the most specific is his 1938 Social Security record which lists 24 Apr. 1870. My guess: 24 Apr. is roughly right, but it may have been 1869 or 1868.
Sam's parents were Avraham "Abe" BRAVER (BRAWER in Belarus?) and Sarah Leah KAMINSKY (KOMINSKI on his 1938 SS record). Sarah (born about 1845) came to the US and was living as of 1905.
