Wife of Dr. Wm. A. Long, of Longswamp, Dies Here.
An illness of several weeks from a complication of ailments ended yesterday morning in the death of Carrie Susanna, wife of Dr. William F. Long, of Longswamp, at the Allentown hospital. She was aged 57 years.
Mrs. Long was a daughter of Marcus and Elizabeth Kressler, Long, and was born at Longswamp, Berks county, where she resided practically all her life. She was a member of the Reformed congregation of Longswamp church and of the Home department of the Longswamp Union Sunday school.
Besides her husband she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Charles Long and Mrs. Charles Folk, of Mertztown R. 1, and Mrs. Cheater Grim, Kutztown, R. 4.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon with brief services at her late home at 1:30 o'clock, daylight time, followed by continued services in the Longswamp church. Interment will be made in the cemetery adjoining the church. Rev. W. L. Meckstroth and Rev. William F. Bond will officiate.
