He was the widower of Mae A. (Moyer) Holub, who died Feb. 11, 1976.
Born July 8, 1919, in Evansville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Michael Holub Sr. and Anna (Robak) Holub.
He attended Ontelaunee High School and served his country during World War II as a corporal in the United States Army Air Corps.
He was employed for more than 40 years as a truck driver for the Allentown Portland Cement Company in Evansville.
He held the office of treasurer of the Temple Democratic Club for many years and was a life member of the Temple Fire Company Beneficial Association and was active in the former Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in Temple.
Bill was an avid gardener, but his true passion was people. He was a warm and wonderful father and grandfather and will be sadly missed by his family.
He is survived by his daughter, Sharon L., wife of Randy C. Craig, Muhlenberg Township; and two brothers, Michael Holub, Kenhorst; and Jack R. Holub, Temple.
There are also two grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Craig, husband of Bridget Craig, and Andrea L. Craig, all of New York City; eight nieces and seven nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Andrew R. Holub and Paul Holub.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Milkins Giles Funeral Home Inc., 4914 Kutztown Road, Temple. A viewing will be held Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial with military honors will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
