Patrick Cassidy joined the 69th Pa.Infantry (Philadelphia) late in life aged approx 39years. He enlisted at Philadelphia 10th Sept 1861.Served in Co. B. Later he contracted typhoid fever and was hospitalised in New York.Sadly he died from the disease. His wife Susan survived him and died Nov 4th 1891. She had been given a pension of $8 dollars per month.
