She took care of her dying sister Leah and her sisters 4 children and raised them as her own until their father remarried. at the expense of her own happiness. She did marry judge John Weatherford Parker and lived happily near Pecos Reeves Co. texas ,Rest In Peace Aunt Eloise ,I will see you someday with my mom your namesake Love,Leah

On the 25th of January, 1891, Mr. Parker was united in marriage with Miss Eloise Nicholson, who was born in McLennan County, Texas , December 17, 1871, and is the daughter of M. H. Nicholson. She came with her parents to Hamilton in 1877. (Source: History of Texas , Central Texas Vol. I, Pub. 1896 -)
