Walter A. Huetson of Wickenburg died March 19 at his home in Westpark. He was 85. Mr. Huetson was born January 26, 1914 in Glen Ellyn, Illinois and had lived in Arizona for 15 years.
Playing his guitar was one of Mr. Huetson's favorite pastimes, and he played with the Wise Owl Band for several years. Mr. Huetson and his wife Elearnor were married for 58 years. They came to Wickenburg from Rockford, Illinois in 1984. He will be greatly missed by his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and by the many friends he touched throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife Elearnor M. of Wickenburg; daughter Suzanne Huetson of Rockford, Illinois; son Gary Huetson of Leadville, Colorado; sons and daughters-in-law Kent and Jean of Rockford, Illinois and David and Somyong of Fairborn, Ohio; grandchildren Andrea, Casey and Kevin, Mark and Christopher, Kristine and Pamela, Lindsay, Daniel and Amanda; great-grandchildren Jessica, Nicholas, Kaitlyn and Jacob; and sister marguerite of Gillispie of Sandwich, Illinois.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (March 25) at the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, with Father John Vogt officiating. Interment will be at the St. Anthony of Padua Columbarium.
