Rita graduated with the Class of 1938 from The Teachers College of the City of Boston. It merged in 1982 with the University of Mass., Boston. She became a life long public school educator. She married Charles Harold McCabe on 11 Jun 1976 in Las Vegas. They were divorced some years later. Charles d. on 03 Mar 1996 in San Diego. Rita had no children of her own, but so very many were under her care and tutelage over the years. After her death Rita's ashes were spread in the ocean off Mass.
