Memorial services held for Mrs Jan Stallings

BENTON - Jan Rumbaugh Stallings, 32, died Sunday, Dec. 29, 1985 in Bossier City after a lengthy illness. A memorial service was held at the Clear Lake United Methodist Church in Clear Lake, Tex. on Dec. 31.

Mrs. Stallings was born Nov. 4, 1953 in Dallas, Tex. and spent most of her life in Beaumont, Tex.

She received a bachelor's degree with honors in fine arts from Stephen Austin University in Nacogdoches, Tex. in 1974 and a masters in fine arts from the University of Houston in 1982. Jan taught English and drama at the Clear Lake High School and was active in many community theatre productions in that area. She was also an active member of the Clear Lake United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Roger Stallings, one son, Adam, both of Webster, Tex.; her parents, Peggy and Harrison Rumbaugh of Benton, La.; one sister, Nancy Faulk of Little Rock, Ark.; three brothers, George and Erik Rumbaugh of Benton and Philip Rumbaugh of Beaumont, Tex. and a grandmother, Hazel Peck of Lafayette, La.
