Funeral services will be held Monday, January 4, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in First Pentecostal Church in Melville for Betty S. "Bonnie" Goutro, age 67, the former Betty Savant, who passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 5:15 a.m. at her residence in Melville.
Interment will be in First Pentecostal Cemetery.
Mrs. Goutro was a native and lifelong resident of Melville.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Sherline Goutro of Melville; one son, Kurt Goutro of Melville; one daughter, Charlene Goutro of Melville; mother, Hazel Dauzet Savant of Venice; ten brothers, Daniel Savant and his wife, Shirley of Missouri, Johnny "Cheese" Savant and his wife, Geneva, of Melville, John "Baba" Savant and his wife, Joyce, of Melville, Ray "Peanut" Savant and his wife, Velma, of Melville, Jessie "Etzie" Savant and his wife, Marilyn, of Indiana, Joseph "Wango" Savant and his wife, Janice, of Melville, Billy Savant and his wife, Melinda, of Baton Rouge, Middleton "Tubby" Savant of Missouri, Larry Savant and his wife, Pearl, of Venice, and Raymond Savant and his wife, Kathy, of Buras; three sisters, Evelyn Savant and her husband, Homer, of Venice, Ann Savant and her husband, Omar, of Buras and Aline Savant and her husband, Michael, of Venice; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Daniel Webster Savant; one son, Kim Goutro; and one brother, Sherline Savant.
