Obituary.

Died, Miss Connie Strayhan, at her home at Strayhan's Mill, three and a half miles west of Alden Bridge, on Wednesday, Aug. 23, at 5 o'clock a. m.; Aged 22 years.

Her illness was brief, but her sufferings great. She bore it with tender fortitude.

Oh, it is so hard to give Connie up, just in the bloom of girlhood. She was so sweet, kind and loving to one and all - always a smile on her face - and that smile never left her, even in her death agonies, when the Grim Reaper had her in his vice-like grip. Poor Connie died on her wedding day, and the last look we had at her she was lying in a beautiful white casket, in her bridal robes, with a happy, peaceful smile on her lovely face. God needed her more than we did, and He has called her home.

To her grief-stricken relatives and the betrothed one we tender our most heartfelt sympathy and condolence, and let us strive to meet her in that bright land where parting is no more.
