Chilling dews bowed down it's head
Sweetest solace of the bower, all its lovely bloom is fled
Loved was its Roseate hue opening to the smiles of May, cold and fatal was the dew
Pale it droop'd and died away
Cold dews drink its fragrant breath
Then the beams celestial rise, wafting its pure soul from death
Greatful incense to the skies
