Harry A. Wever Succumbs


Harry A. Wever, 74-year-old resident of 2560 62nd avenue, North, St. Petersburg, Florida and Lawrence County native, died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at the Mount Park Hospital in St. Petersburg. Death followed an illness of one year.

He was born December 19, 1889 to Jacob W. and Susan Crawford Wever. He was a retired railway station baggage master of LaSalle St. Union Station in Chicago.

Survivors include the wife, Rose; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Casler, Vancouver, Washington, Mrs. E.O. (Flora) Baker, also of Vancouver, Mrs. Carl (Sylvia) Younger, Route 6, Bedford, and Mrs. Etta Ratz, Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; two brothers, Ernest Wever, Route 6, Bedford and Reid, Route 4, Bedford and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Wever's parents, two brothers, and four sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Kern officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Friday.
