W.F. SCHINGEN, PAINTER, DIES; WAS ILL YEAR. Town of Lamartine Native Expires at Hospital; Rites Planned. William F. Schingen, Sr., 145 Rose avenue, a native of the Town of Lamartine, died at 6:30 a.m. today at St. Agnes hospital after having been ill for a year. He was a painter by trade. He was born March 31, 1886, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schingen of the Town of Lamartine and on Sept. 14, 1920, was married to Miss Margaret Gillis (sic: Gilles) in Milwaukee. The couple spent their married life in Fond du Lac. Surviving Mr. Schingen are his widow, four sons, William, Jr., Gerald and Richard of this city and Clarence of the Town of Lamartine; two daughters, Mrs. Carl Bauman of Milwaukee and Virginia at home; four grandchildren; his parents; a brother, Leo, of this city and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Bauer of Milwaukee and Mrs. Frank Giebel and Mrs. Rose Treleven of this city. The body will be removed to the residence Thursday, funeral services to be held there at 9 a.m. Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick's church. Committal will be in St. John's church cemetery at Woodhull.

Funeral services for William Schingen, a painter for the Charles L. Handt Agency for the last 18 years, who died Wednesday, were held at 9 a.m. from the residence, 145 Rose avenue, and at 9:30 o'clock a.m. from St. Patrick's church, the Rev. Joseph Beres, assistant, officiating. Burial was a Woodhull, where the Rev. George P. Jentges, pastor of St. John's church there officiated. Pallbearers were Sam Stanchfield, George Sizer, Fred Breitenfeld, Hale Dunham, William Eichoff and Dr. J.W. Foley. Out-of-town persons attending the services included Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bauman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bauer, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weasea, Mr. and Mrs. Helfenbein, Mrs. Frank Roach, Mrs. Roman Germscheid and Michael Londre of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joseph Wegman and Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Knoch of Sheboygan and Miss Violet Moquin of Chicago.
