"Agnes Hollenbach, age 90, died at home on Shelter Island on Saturday, January 31, 2009. Funeral services are pending and entrusted to the Shelter Island Funeral Home. A complete obituary will appear in a future edition."

"Agnes M. Hollenbach of Menantic Road passed away January 31, 2009. She was 90 years old. Mrs. Hollenbach, a 25-year Island resident, was born August 1, 1918 in New York City. Along with her late husband John, Mrs. Hollenbach retired to Shelter Island from Bayonne, New Jersey where she was a homemaker and later worked in the securities industry. She is survived by her children, Peter Hollenbach of Burke, Virginia, and Helen Melick of Chandler, Arizona as well as by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A memorial service is planned for the spring of this year."
