Levi Bronson was born in 1799, the third son of Osee and Rebekah Hall Bronson. He followed farming in this county and afterwards at Martinsburg, N.Y. He was a member of the Baptist Church from early life and was a most unselfish Christian man. An instance of his extreme honesty is related; he had purchased a cow that proved better than recommended an he afterwards added to the purchase price what he thought her real value. His wife was Roxana Griffith of Fairfield. Of their six children four died young. One daughter married Rev. Laban Bates. A son, Miles is an esteemed physician of Lowville, N. Y.
