of Solon and Georgianna Twiddy Murphy. Surviving are his wife, Olive May
Henderson Murphy; five daughters, Mrs. J.T. Mathews and Mrs. A.W. Griffin, both
of Norfolk, Mrs. F.L. Godfrey and Mrs. R.L. Sawyer, both of Norfolk County, and
Mrs. Daniel Futhrell of South Norfolk; four sons, S.T. Murphy and E.A. Murphy,
both of South Norfolk, S.S. Murphy of Norfolk and H.B. Murphy of Norfolk County;
three sisters, Miss Odie Murphy and Mrs. R.W. Arrowwood of Norfolk and Mrs. L.B.
Culpepper of Elizabeth City, N.C.; one brother, Tully Murphy of Norfolk; 17
grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
