DeWayne Kendall passed away Oct. 23, 1997 at the home of a daughter.
Born Feb. 25, 1922 in Cleveland, Idaho, son of Levi Newell and Myrtle Bevins Kendall. Married Bonnie Rae Pearson, June 11, 1949; later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. Served three years in European Theater during World War II. Worked for Kennecott Copper Bingham Mine for 37 years.
He is survived by spouse and four children, Deborah (Michael) Mullens, West Valley City; Loralee Novosel, Taylorsville; Bruce (Cyndi) Kendall, Riverton; Shauna (Nick) Ferri, Sandy; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lola Hoesch, Pocatello, ID and Beatrice Stone, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Loyal Kendall, Rock Springs, WY; Glen Kendall, St. Anthony, ID; Lea R. Kendall, West Valley City. Preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Ray Kendall, Kearns and Deveral Andrus, Los Altos, CA.
DeWayne loved to hunt and fish. He and Bonnie loved to travel and they have spent the last 14 winters in Mesa, AZ where they have a home. DeWayne will be remembered for his quick wit and for the way he loved to tease everyone, especially children. He was loved by all and we each have fond memories to help fill the void of DeWayne not being here with us.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Monday, Oct. 27 at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, where friends may call Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
