Most of their farm of 75 acres on north side of East Middletown Road is now covered by Evans Lake, in census later in life he was listed as a tin peddler, wife Mary Barbara Stump, daughter of Henry and Margaret Stump of Trumbull then Mahoning Counties, Ohio. In the attached old portrait photo, John is sitting on the far right, man with the long white beard. His son John Henry is top left and son Benjamin Franklin Cover is on the right. Two of his younger unidentified daughters and seated with John Cover. John was 6 years old when his family left Westminster, Maryland, near Frederick to come to eastern Ohio, specifically Petersburg, Ohio, where his grandfather Andrew Hahn and his uncles had moved, buying vast sums of land to farm in Columbiana County, later Mahoning.
