The youngest son of Clark and Rosaline McNitt Sherman, Clifford was born April 12, 1892 at Coldwater Lake, Michigan. Married to Lucy Pearl Echtinaw, they had three children. After Pearl's death, Clifford married Abbie Quimby on August 15, 1950. Clifford had a love for the outdoors including fishing the channels of Coldwater Lake and hunting. Many successful dear hunts were made to northern Michigan with his family. Clifford passed away December 8, 1974 and is buried with his first wife, Lucy Pearl Sherman.
