Beatrice Johnson Key, 60, died Saturday morning at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness. She was a native of Bulloch County, a retired employee of Busy Bee Day Care Center and a member of Second St. John Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Rufus Key Sr., Statesboro; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Louise Cooper, Statesboro, and Miss Lillie Mae Key and Miss Leola Key, both of Cincinnati; two sons, Bobby Key and Rufus Key Jr., both of Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. Cora Lee Timmons, Statesboro; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Second St. John Baptist Church with the Rev. Japan Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Family visitation will be held today from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the James R. Barnes Mortuary chapel.
