OBITUARY:
Ruth Pepper, 77, Cadiz, died at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2000, at Trigg County Hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Goodwin Funeral Home. Burial will be in Kuttawa Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5 this afternoon.
A native of Robertson County, Tenn., she was born May 28, 1922, the daughter of the late Edgar and Rosie Nell Mason Whitman. She was a waitress, was a member of the Widows' Club of Lyon County and was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church. Her husband, James Edward Pepper, died in 1988.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Pepper, Wake Forest, N.C., James Randle Pepper, Cadiz; three daughters, Mrs. Glenn (Linda) Cunningham, Mrs. Tim (Robbie) Stallons, both of Cadiz, Rosemary Pepper, Paducah; two sisters, Mary Calhoun, Grand Rivers; Nellie Cole, Nashville, Tenn.; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
