Adeline L. Konik, 81, former Town of Centerville resident, died Friday December 29, 1989, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home, where she had been resident for the past 2 years.

She was born October 31, 1908, daughter of the late Edwin and Frieda (Schulte) Awe.

On June 26, 1930 she was united in marriage to Steve Konik, the couple resided in Northern Wisconsin until 1942, when they moved to the Cleveland area. For many years she worked in the Brass Department of the Kohler Co., retiring in 1963. Her husband preceded her in death in 1978.

She was a member of St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cleveland, Wisconsin and of its Ladies Aid Society.

She is survived by five sons, Dennis (Mary Jean) Konik, of Newton, WI; Steven E. (Betty) Konik, of Phoenix, Arizona; Robert (Jane) Konik, of Fond du Lac; Jerome (Judy) and John (Bonnie) Konik, both of Sheboygan. One daughter, Mrs. Marlene (Arlie) Haupt of Cleveland; 19 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Gertha (Ervin) Jabel of West Chester, Ill; Mrs. Dorothy (Wally) Wirtala of Waukegan, Ill; Mrs. Laura Vangorder of Eau Claire, WI; Mrs. Norma (Uno) Kolpanen, Owen, WI; three brothers, Lester Awe of Manitowoc; Edward Awe of California; Royal Awe, Colby, WI; nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, one daughter Barbara, on grandson and one sister.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 Wednesday afternoon at St. John and St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cleveland. The Rev. Henry Koch, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Saxon Cemetery in the Town of Centerville. Friends may call at the Stoltenberg Funeral Chapel in Cleveland Tuesday afternoon from 5-9 p.m. and at the church from noon Wednesday until the hour of service.
