"Mrs. Nettie A. Ackerman, 74, of Richfield Springs died Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mohawk Valley General Hospital, Ilion, following a long illness. She was born Feb. 8, 1900 at Herkimer, a daughter of Schuyler and Mary Farley Devenpeck. In 1920 she married Wallace Ackerman of Jordanville. They lived in Cullen for a time and in 1931 moved to Richfield. Mr. Ackerman died in 1963. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and War Mothers, Home Bureau and Senior Citizens Clubs. Surviving is one son, Wallace B. Ackerman of Antioch, Tenn; one daughter, Mrs. Kathleen Szewczwk of Frankfort; two brothers, James Devenpeck of Richfield and Ernest Davenpeck of Holyoke, Mass., four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her funeral was held February 13 from the McGrath Funeral Home in Richfield with the Rev. Gerald Boyer, officiating. Burial will be later in Lakeview Cemetery, Richfield Springs."
