"Edmeston - Mrs. Ella Louise Chase, 83, widow of Herschel R. Chase, died October 26, 1941, in a Syracuse hospital. She was born in Maryland, N. Y., daughter of William and Louise Salisbury Darling, and had spent practically all of her life in Richfield Springs and Edmeston. Her first husband, Peter J. Jones, died in 1898. In 1912 she was married to Mr. Chase, who died in 1939. Since then Mrs. Chase had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Harold Carey, Syracuse. Surviving besides her daughter are a son, J. Paul Jones, Hartwick; a sister, Mrs. Clayton Ritton, Maryland, N. Y.; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 2 p. m., tomorrow from the Cort Funeral Home, Edmeston."
