obit 8/23/1956, "Richfield Mercury", Richfield Springs, NY Floyd B. Palmer died Monday, Aug 20 at Clark Nursing Home, this village, after a heart attack. The funeral service was held Thursday at McGrath Funeral Home conducted by Daniel Hill. Burial was in Twilight Rest Cemetery, Monticello. He was one of twin sons, Floyd and Frank, born to Otis and Marietta Sternburg Palmer on Feb 15, 1875 in Richfield. Mr Palmer and his twin were both veterans of the Spanish-American War and were recognized as the oldest living twin veterans in the country. Acknowledgement on his 80th birthday came from President Eisenhower as well as other high officials. Survivors include 2 sons, Theodore & Robert, twin Frank, cousin, nieces, and nephews. Also, a 3rd son, Harold, was killed in 1928.________________
