SOURCE James O'Donnell Funeral Home .... Bernice Turnbull Bueler, 87, of Hannibal, Missouri, passed away at 5:16 PM Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal. A Memorial Service will be at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal. Rev. Dawn Victoria Mitchell will officiate. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until the time of services. Saturday at the James O'Donnell Funeral Home. Mrs. Bueler was born March 27, 1925, in Ashaway, Rhode Island to Peter and Thelma Bill Turnbull. She was married to Charles Merwin "Chuck" Bueler on August 14, 1949. He preceded her in death March 9, 1991. Survivors include 3 children, Matt Bueler (Diane) of Hannibal, MO, Martha Fischer (Frank) of St. Louis, MO, Melinda Bueler of Florida, 1 sister, Shirley Fallon of Ashaway, RI and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one daughter; Laura Neeley in 2002. Mrs. Bueler graduated in 1945 from Brown University. She was a Naval wife and Mother. Bernice worked as a librarian at the Hannibal Middle School for over 15 years and in her retirement she worked in the library at Hannibal LaGrange College. Mrs. Bueler liked reading, crossword puzzles and taking family vacations over the years to Pawley's Island, South Carolina. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially loved holiday gatherings with her family. Mrs. Bueler was a member of several reading groups and women's clubs and P.E.O. She was also a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church or the Hannibal Middle School Library in care of the James O'Donnell Funeral Home.
