Was born in East Boston, but raised by his Uncle Richard in Mattapan where he grew up and went to school. Worked for many years at the Boston Naval Shipyard. Graduate of Suffolk University. Lived in Quincy and Pembroke for many years. Served in the Massachusetts National Guard. Eight children!
