He was born Feb. 2, 1918 in Richland County, son of Ennis M. and Cleo (Olmsby) Michels.
On June 9, 1961, he was married to Norma R. Wiseman in Grayville.
He was a member of the Grayville First Christian Church and the Saddle Club.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; two sons, Dennis of Olney and Jeff of Grayville; five daughters, Mrs. Don (Shelby) Runyon of Olney, Mrs, John (Barbara) Ahlfield of Columbus, Ga., Mrs. John (Arlene) Morgan of Duluth, Minn., Mrs. Robin (Ilene) Lynch of Sequim, Wash., Miss Diana Michels of Grayville; three brothers, Virgil and Robert Michels, both of Olney, Doris D. Michels of Noble; a sister, Mrs. Bernard (Thelma) Leach of Olney; 12 grandchildren.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville, with Rev. John Bender and Rev. Larry Burgett officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
