She was born August 26, 1914 in Salina, Utah to George and Alta Parker Poulsen. Phyllis married Sterling C. Jensen and they were happily married for sixty-four years.
She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cross stitch, collecting clowns, spending time at home, barbeques in the backyard grill, traveling in the motorhome with her husband, and family reunions at Fish Lake. She was a member of the Republican Party. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family.
Survived by her children, Phillip (Kathy) Jensen of Grand Junction, Colorado; Joan (Jim) Jenson of Draper, Utah; Steven Jensen of Holladay, Utah; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Gayle) Poulsen; sister, Georgia Fitzgerald. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sterling C. Jensen; and two sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 7, 2011 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State Street (100 East). Friends may call one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Sandy City Cemetery.
