Grace, age 86, was a native of Kings County and member of one of this area's earliest families. She was one of nine daughters and three sons born to the William Stewarts, pioneers in the Lakeside area. Both William Stewart and Mary Rankin, who later was his bride, were born in Ireland and came to this country as youths in the 1870s. They married in 1880 and settled on a farm southeast of Hanford. Grace married Stanley Edwin Reinhard, when he remarried after losing his first wife.

Identified with educational circles in Kings County for 40 years, Grace had been principal at Lakeside and Delta View schools and was a primary school supervisor for the county superintendent's office. She also had been Sunday school superintendent for Lakeside Church, was a past worthy matron for the Order of Eastern Star, a past president of the Hanford Business and Professional Women's Club and past president of the Hanford Garden Club.

Grace was a member of First United Methodist Church and had been active in its women's organization for many years. Other affiliations included the Retired Teachers Association.

Surviving were two sisters, Madelyn Short and Ethel Stewart of Hanford. Her husband,Stanley, passed away in 1964.
