She was born Nov. 21, 1921, in Vermilion Township to Peter and Hilja Sophia (Limpia) Hiltunen. Mabel graduated from Embarrass High School in 1939 and attended Eveleth Junior College and the University of Minnesota Duluth.
She was united in marriage to Henry Bradach on Feb. 1, 1945, in Aurora. Together they spent more than seven years with their children at various Air Force bases in the U.S. and Germany while Henry was in the Air Force. Upon their return Mabel taught grade school in Babbitt for more than 16 years. Upon their retirement, Mabel and Henry spent many days fishing, gardening, and enjoying time at their cabin at Bear Island Lake.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; four brothers, Victor, Ray, Leo and Robert; and two sisters, Mavis and Elizabeth (Betty).
