"Naomi Balfour, 91, of Camarillo, passed away on Jan. 15, 2011. She was born in Ladysmith, Wis., and came to Camarillo more than 30 years ago, by way of Milwaukee, Wis., and Lisle, Ill. Naomi was a member of the United Methodist Church and lived for many years in Leisure Village, where she enjoyed a large circle of wonderful friends. Naomi was married to Andrew Hoffman for 36 years (who preceded her in death in 1975). Naomi liked to swim, dance, and sing. She helped with 65 alive in Leisure Village. She also liked to travel throughout her life with Andy and later her friends. She volunteered with food share and at the hospital. She loved to spend time with her companion, dog Daisy. She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey (Susan) Hoffman of Thousand Oaks, and Creighton (Andrea) Hoffman of Amelia Island, Fla., as well as her four grandchildren, Kevin and Angela of Thousand Oaks, Evan of Oviedo, Fla., and Christopher (Melissa) of Wayland, Mass. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 12 at the Camarillo United Methodist Church, with Reverend Bobbie McMullen. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Hillside, Ill."
