Professional Boxer. Reigned as featherweight champion of the National Boxing Association from 1932 to 1933, and had a career record of 78 wins, 25 losses, 10 draws. He made three Hollywood films with actress Mae West in 1933 and 1934. He is a member of the Italian Hall Of Fame in Chicago (where a life-size bronze statue with a large Glass case of all his boxing equipment and memorabilia is located). His was the only tombstone in Mount Olivet Cemetery that was allowed to say a man's title.
