Mrs. Sarah E. Moore, 84, widow of Luther E. Moore, died at Big Rapids, Thursday, August 15. Death was attributed to shock resulting from a fractured hip she suffered recently. She was born in Willsboro, N. Y., where she spent her childhood. She married Luther Moore at Essex, N. Y., December 7, 1872. They came to Michigan more than 54 years ago, settling near Coopersville. Later they resided at Sparta, moving to Big Rapids 23 years ago. Mrs. Moore had been a member and active worker of the Methodist church 60 years. Surviving are a son, Samuel P. Moore of Millington; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Lillie of Grand Rapids and Miss Fannie Moore of Big Rapids. Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:00 a. m. at the home in Big Rapids. Burial was in the Coopersville cemetery.
