A Mass was celebrated for the repose of his soul at 6.30 pm., on Easter Sunday, at the Provincial House chapel, in which many religious and lay faithful participated.
At 2.00 pm., on Wednesday, April 7, the funeral ceremonies began at Bandel Basilica, in the presence of over 80 Salesian Confreres with representatives from New Delhi and other Provinces. Many members of the Salesian family, as well as his own dear ones were present. The parishioners of Malbassey came in large numbers to honour their pastor.
The Provincial in his homily, after giving a life sketch of Fr. Vincent, highlighted some of his outstanding qualities namely, his love for the poor, his availability for the missions and his life of deep faith and surrender in the midst of great suffering.
