Pittsfield, Jan. 23 - Mrs. Jessie C. Johnson of West Lebanon, Me., died at St. Luke's Hospital this afternoon. Mrs. Johnson was spending the winter with her daughter, Mrs. Chester P. Lorenz of 273 Elm St. She leaves her husband, Howard A. Johnson of Maine; another daughter, Mrs. Robert Hodsdon of Yarmouth, Me., and two sisters, also of Maine. The body will be shipped to Rochester, N.H.

Mrs. Jessie C. Johnson, 64, wife of Howard A. Johnson of West Lebanon, Me., died yesterday afternoon at St. Luke's Hospital where she had been a patient since Jan. 5. A native of Lebanon, ME. She was born Dec. 29, 1885, a daughter of Josiah and Ellen Rice Closson and spent her entire life there. She was graduated from Cushing Academy. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Baptist Church in West Lebanon and was active in the WCTU. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson came to Pittsfield in November to spend the winter with their daughter, Mrs. Chester P. Lorenz, 267 Elm Street. Survivors are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Lorenz and Mrs. Robert J. Hodsdon of Yarmouth, ME; one grandson, and two sisters, Mrs. Charles B. Goodwin and Miss. Minnie E. Closson of West Lebanon, ME. The body was taken to the R.M. Edgerly and Son Funeral Home, 86 South Main Street, Rochester, N.H. where the family will meet friends Wednesday evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 at the Baptist Church in West Lebanon.
