He was raised to the Peerage of Ireland on 19th January 1868, as 1st Baronet Brady, of Hazelbrook, Co. Dublin..
He married firstly Elizabeth Anne Buchanan, on 26 July 1823.
He married secondly Mary Hatchell, on 15 December 1860.
