b. Oct. 1834 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Moved to Hancock Co., Ohio at the age of 1 year. Married Sarah Thomas, April 23, 1857. 5 children, one daughter died in infancy. Wife died April 15, 1877. Son David died Nov. 11, 1877 after a few hours of illness. Married Florence Davids on July 11, 1880. One daughter. Moved to Bangor in 1857. German Baptist Church. "Sudden death", June 28, 1909.
