SERVICES PLANNED FOR MR. BLANTON

Funeral services for one of the earliest pioneers in Oregon, Isaac Blanton, 83, resident of Eugene, who died yesterday, will be held at the Veatch funeral parlors at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. E.V. Stivers, pastor of the First Christian church, will be in charge. Interment will be in the Mulkey cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, Rebecca Ellen Blanton, five daughters, Mrs. G.W. Biggs, Miss Norma Blanton, Mrs. Harry Taylor, all of Eugene; Mrs. R.W. Huff, and Mrs. Floyd Griffin, Portland; and five sons, E.F., J.W., and M.A. Blanton, all of Eugene; I.N. Blanton of Oakridge, and G.H. Blanton, Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Blanton celebrated their golden wedding anniversary November 8, 1925.

Mr. Blanton was a member of the Christian church. He was born September 23, 1842. He crossed the plains to the west with an ox team. ~~END~~
