Eloise Brown Zikes, 81, of Texas City TX passed away Sunday, May 29, 2005,
at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City TX . Eloise was born February 19,
1924, in Grapeland, Texas, to Thomas Lee and Muccie Florence Brown. Eloise
was a member of the First Baptist Church of Texas City and a resident of
Texas City since 1961. She loved singing in her church choir, cooking and
baking. She also enjoyed her time as a volunteer at the Danforth Hospital in
Texas City.

Eloise was preceded in death by her husband Frank John Zikes. She is
survived by two daughters, Diane Zikes and Beverly Henke and her husband
David; a son Frankie Lee Zikes; two grandsons Bradley and Steven Henke.

Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, May 31, 2005, from 5 to 8
p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Funeral service will be
at the funeral home Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Wayne
Clement officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m., Wednesday, June
1, 2005, at the Bryan City Cemetery, 1111 North Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas.
