Born Marsailles, France. Moves to Philidelphia 1802 or 1803 where he married Pauline Baker the daughter of Hilary Baker, the mayor of Philadelphia. They will have three sons and a daughter.

Late summer Moves to New Orleans.

1804-1810

October 1 Cenas is appointed Postmaster on October 1, 1804. He holds this office until April 1, 1810. He Establishes a well organized postal system and postal roads in the New Orleans area.

December Cenas signs a contract with the Hays and Commmack stage line to carry mail as far as the Manchac area.

He was born in Lyon (St Pierre St Saturnin). His father Pierre moved in News Orleans but came back in France and died in Marseille. He was the only Cenas who stayed in USA, his half-siblings all came back in Marseille.
